First Orthodox Jewish woman to become a rabbi

3,000 years of Orthodox Judaism and no female rabbi – until now. Sara faced a firestorm within the Jewish community in the Bronx, New York – and throughout the world – when she became a ”Rabba.” Opponents accused her of splitting apart the community. But in the face of backlash, Sara pressed on and made history. She continues to teach within her community and train other Orthodox women as religious leaders.
